12 lovely lookouts at Australia's east coast

Our natur has so many beautiful places to offer. In the following are some of my favourite lookouts along the Australian east coast.

Blue Mountains

Beautiful cliffs and eucalyptus trees in the Blue Mountains => Gordon Falls Lookout, Evans Lookout and Pulpit Rock Lookout. These are lookouts where you don't have to walk that much.

Newcastle

These are two lovely little Lookouts in Newcastle. Great places to enjoy nature => View from Fort Scratchley and above Redhead Beach.

Nelson Bay/Port Stephens

Tomaree Mountain and Gan Gan Lookout... The little hike up to Tomaree mountain is it definitely worth. Gan Gan Lookout can be reached by car.

Coff's Harbour

Forest Sky Pier Lookout....you can drive by car or do some hikes in the surrounding of the Forest Sky Pier.

Byron Bay

The walk from Byron Bay main beach to Byron Bay Lighthouse has lots of beautiful views to offer.

You can also drive by car to the lighthouse, but walking is much better, if you like to enjoy nature.

Gold Coast

This is a lookout on top of one of Australias highest volcanos and a sacred place of the Bundjalong people.

It is a difficult hike around 5-6 hours with a steep stone climb at the end of the volcano. The views are amazing.

Airlie Beach/Whitsunday Islands

These are two amazing lookouts => Honeyeater lookout in Airlie Beach and Hill Inlet Lookout on Whitsunday Island. You can reach the honeyeater lookout through a bushwalk (around 8km). So, it is good to have a moderate fitness level.

The Hill Inlet Lookout is only accessible through a guided tour including the world famous Whitehaven beach.

This is one of my absolute favourite lookouts. Stunning paradise!

Hope, you got some ideas for your next trip to the Australian east coast :)
